STATE OF THE ARTS
Unifying art minds to identify, confront, and tackle issues in the local arts scene through a collaborative group effort.
State of the Arts is a monthly meeting of all involved in the arts in any capacity or level. Artists big or small, community leaders, city officials, business owners, and the public are encouraged to attend and be vocal about the issues and trends they are observing in the community.
The main purpose is to discuss the current state and health of the arts scene. Hosted on a rotating schedule, venues and businesses will be able to host the event led by The Artist Grid.
The format is a 1-2 hour discussion session where all that attend will be allotted five minutes to discuss the the issue or topic they chose to bring up. Sign up sheets will be available at the hosting venue location the day prior to the scheduled event. A person signing up is encouraged to give a brief description of their topic so others attending come prepared for discussion. In interest of time and depending on the length of the sign-up sheet, time allowed per person will be shortened or lengthened by the moderator.
Minutes will be posted 1-2 day post event with contact information if the presenter so chooses. This is to allow for further conversation and networking on topics.
